2nd June 2010 and a very wet run south down the Croatian coast. These roads are designed for high temperatures but they are really slippery in the wet. Especially the beige surface. A day spent trying to avoid chucking the bike down the road! Filmed on the x170 camera from my Suzuki DL1000 V-Strom. John and Maureen in front on the BMW R1150RT….

16/6/10 we headed north from Stollhofen on the Upper Rhine, through the scenic Middle Rhine to Lohmar near Bonn, our last camp site before the ferry home. Filmed on the x170 helmet camera from my Suzuki DL1000 V-Strom. John and Maureen on the BMW R1150RT….

10th June 2010. A drive from Como Town at the south of the lake, to the small lakeside town of Dongo 30 miles north. It took me about an hour on the narrow winding road through all the small villages but it’s a really nice place. Filmed on the X170 helmet camera from my Suzuki DL1000 V-Strom….

11.6.10 – we set off from Lake Como in Italy at 900ft elevation – north into Switzerland and the Julier Pass at 7500ft. Filmed on the x170 camera, one part by Maureen on the back of John’s BMW R1150RT and later fixed to the top of my helmet on my Suzuki DL1000 V-Strom. We climbed the Maloja Pass en-route but it deservedly has a youtube clip all of its own. We were really lucky to have good weather…

After sailing from Croatia to Bari in Italy, the next day, 5th June 2010 we set off west across Italy via Foggia and Campobasso to Cassino, where the town and monastery were completely destroyed during months of conflict in WW2.
